QA Coordinator Qualifications:

  • Organized and detailed oriented.
  • Must be able to relate positively and favorably to residents and work cooperatively with other staff members
  • Positive attitude towards staff and elderly
  • Typing skills, knowledge of medical terms and confidentiality laws
  • Must speak and understand English
  • Must be knowledgeable of epidemiology, infectious diseases and aseptic techniques, including Universal ecautions, applicable OSHA standards
  • Physical and Sensory Requirements : Walking, reaching, bending, lifting, grasping, fine hand coordination, communicate with resident, read and write and the ability to remain calm under stress

QA Coordinator Essential Job Functions:

  • Attends all meetings related to QA activities as deemed appropriate or as directed by the QA committee
  • Assists and serves as a liaison other committees, individuals, departments, and/or other services in the development of monitoring ols, criteria and standards in the evaluation and selection of priority concerns impacting on resident care safety.
  • Contact person for the team leaders and QA committee.
  • Maintains Records of QA activities, i.e. Summary reports of individual activities, attendance/participation cords, agenda, minutes, corrective action, recommendations, memos and any or all of the QA correspondence.
  • Conducts education programs relative to QA activities to program participants.
  • Maintains a forms manual for QA activities
  • Infection Control Coordinator
